Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP (Deloitte India) has entered a collaborative engagement with a leading data privacy and security service provider to address the complex regulatory landscape governing data protection in India and globally. This collaboration aims to support businesses in aligning with evolving privacy standards under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
The alliance is structured to combine Deloitte’s consulting and compliance expertise with the security firm’s advanced data governance and automation capabilities. Together, they intend to help organizations improve Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), automate privacy workflows, and navigate consent and data retention requirements more efficiently.
Although not a formal partner of Deloitte, the security firm’s involvement underscores the professional services firm’s strategy of working alongside specialized technology providers. This move aligns with Deloitte’s broader focus on supporting clients through scalable, secure, and regulatory-compliant solutions.
Deepa Seshadri, Partner and Leader – Cyber, Deloitte South Asia, commented, “Privacy is not just a legal requirement but a moral responsibility. Our collaboration reflects a commitment to building trust and embedding privacy into core operations.”
John Cunningham, Vice President of APAC and Middle East at the security firm, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the need for stronger data sovereignty and resilient cloud infrastructure. He also mentioned the launch of a public cloud data command center in India to support these efforts.
The announcement reflects the growing demand for digital privacy infrastructure and underscores how firms are adapting to rising global standards in personal data protection.
