Rippling has officially entered the compliance automation market with the launch of its Automated Compliance platform, starting with support for SOC 2 audits. According to the company, the solution is designed to automate evidence collection, identify compliance gaps, and help organizations manage audit activities from a centralized platform.

Unlike traditional compliance platforms that primarily collect evidence and monitor controls, Rippling stated that its approach leverages data already stored across its HR, identity, device management, and workforce management systems. The company claims this allows organizations to gather audit evidence automatically and remediate certain compliance issues directly within the platform.

Industry observers noted that the launch places Rippling in direct competition with established compliance automation providers that support frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards. The move reflects a growing trend in which operational software providers are embedding compliance capabilities into existing business platforms rather than relying solely on standalone governance, risk, and compliance tools.

The development has sparked broader discussions across the compliance and cybersecurity industry about the future of compliance automation, continuous evidence collection, integrated control monitoring, and the increasing role of operational platforms in supporting audit readiness. The expansion also highlights growing demand for solutions that reduce manual compliance activities while maintaining visibility into security and governance controls.

As of now, Rippling’s Automated Compliance offering is available for SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 audits, with the company indicating that support for additional compliance frameworks is expected in the future.
